This blog is where I share stories from running events, travels, and my hobby of photography. This blog originated as a simple website that I used to list links to my online photo albums to share with friends and family. I moved it to a blog format to simplify the maintenance. Then I started copying in some race and travel reports that otherwise were posted in the local forums for my running groups or shared in email so that I would not lose track of those over time. As I started commenting on other people’s blogs, people started to discover this blog and give me a hard time for not posting more. So I eventually started treating this site more as a blog rather than a scrapbook. 50 States Quest

Some people are on a quest to run a marathon in each of the 50 U.S. states. I am not going to set the bar so high. I will be content to run at least a half-marathon or other significant endurance event in each state.
